OpenData Oakland/Alameda

We’re working on an opendata portal and policy for the City of Oakland and the County of Alameda. What we need from you is feedback on the data you want available! Your input is valuable, we can focus on the data that people really want in the East Bay.

    1. School boundaries for elementary, middle and high schools

      This would be great data to layer on to existing real estate sites

      • Any geospatial data not available from the state

        Parcels are great: thanks! Policing, built environment (esp. building footprints), environmental, school district boundaries, businesses would all be great. I work at an academic library and get requests from students for all types of data for Oakland and Alameda County. Services are OK, but download (.shp, KML) would be awesome.

        • Environmental Health-Restaurant Inspections

          Current WMS site is terrible and has no data feed for other uses. Whole county please. For use in mobile apps and research.
